Rod Laver Arena is a tennis stadium that is part of the Melbourne Park complex located in Melbourne, Victoria, and has been the main venue for the Australian Open Tennis since 1988. It has a seating capacity of 15,000 and has a retractable roof. Besides tennis, the arena hosts motorbike super-crosses, music concerts, conferences, World Wrestling Entertainment events and ballets.

It is estimated that over 685,000 people will descend on Rod Laver Arena and Melbourne Park during the two weeks of the Australian Open Tennis making it one of the highlights of the sporting calendar.
