Steve Edge is a former Australian Rugby League player who played for the St George Dragons and Parramatta in a career that spanned  from 1973 to 1984.  Steve is regarded as one of the most successful captains in the games modern history. This is due to Steve playing in eleven Grand Finals throughout his career and holds a Australian record for being the only man to captain two different clubs to Grand Final premiership success.

Steve was regarded as a fine on-field player but was never seen as being overly flashy in his play.  Steve retired after the 1984 Grand Final loss to Canterbury after overcoming a serious eye injury to take place in the final.
